Ron Mastrogiovanni Sr.

Ron Mastrogiovanni brings more than 25 years of experience in management consulting, financial services and information technology. Ron’s latest venture, HealthView Services, is an emerging industry leader providing a flexible and easily deployable SaaS platform that incorporates actuarial medical expense data and Social Security income projections into an easy-to-use financial planning platform for advisors and their clients. During his tenure at HealthView, Ron has helped guide the firm to strong growth, leading the way to innovative new retirement planning applications.
Prior to starting HealthView Services, Ron co-founded FundQuest, a provider of wealth management solutions for financial institutions, including banks, insurance companies and brokerage firms. Ron’s strategic planning, innovative product design and general business experience led FundQuest to become one of the most successful fee-based money management solutions in the industry. Under Ron’s leadership, the company accumulated over $12 billion in assets. The company was acquired by BNP Paribas, a global leader in banking and financial services.
Previous to co-founding FundQuest, Ron was President of The Parker Company, a management consulting firm specializing in technology startups. Prior to The Parker Company, he held senior sales and marketing positions in the technology industry.
Ron earned his B.S. degree from Boston State College and an M.B.A. from Babson College.
Director of Institutional Sales
Tom McKenna has been in financial services for more than two decades and has experience in both retail and institutional sales. He is currently leveraging this experience to introduce the important topic of health care cost analysis to the financial services industry.
Prior to joining HealthView, Mr. McKenna was Senior Vice President of Institutional Sales at Bank of America, working primarily with the defined benefit and defined contribution marketplace.
Previously, Mr. McKenna gained extensive experience in the retirement income market as the first Income Specialist at New York Life. He has also held several positions in the asset management side of the financial services sector. At State Street Research, he was the Regional Vice President of the Midwest region. Previously, he held a Regional Vice President position at FundQuest Asset Management and worked with over fifty different broker-dealers to train their financial advisors in the fee-based managed-money arena.

Ron Mastrogiovanni Jr. brings eight years of high-level sales and management experience to HealthView Services. In his previous position, Mr. Mastrogiovanni directed a sales teams that generated over $5 million annually, actively managed institutional relationships, and negotiated terms for new and existing accounts. Since being appointed as Director of Strategic Alliances, Mr. Mastrogiovanni has successfully initiated several targeted sales and marketing campaigns, established and expanded corporate relationships, and spearheaded an innovative advisor education program on the future of retirement planning.
Robert Powell is a financial journalist whose work appears regularly in USA Today, The Wall Street Journal, and MarketWatch. Mr. Powell also serves as editor of Retirement Weekly, a Marketwatch-Dow Jones subscription publication; editor of the Retirement Management Journal; and curriculum director of the Boston University Center for Professional Education Online Retirement Management Program.
Previously, Mr. Powell served as the Co-executive Producer of CPTV/PBS’ More Than Money, a personal finance television program; managing director of Acadient, an online education concern; director of training at FundQuest; and managing director and editor-in-chief of Boston-based DALBAR, Inc., where he headed the firm’s multi-million dollar publishing company.
Mr. Powell has also served as The Boston Herald’s personal finance and mutual funds columnist as well as a business reporter for the Berkshire Eagle and the Boston Business Journal.
Jeffrey K. Cohen, M.D.
Chief Medical Officer
Chairman of HVS Medical Advisory Board
Dr. Jeffrey Cohen, in addition to being the Chairman of the HVS Medical Advisory Board, is President of the Triangle Urological Group and serves as Director of the Division of Urology at Allegheny General Hospital. He is an associate professor of surgery at Drexel University. Dr. Cohen received his medical degree from the State University of New York – Syracuse Upstate Medical Center in 1979 and received his certification from the American Board of Urology. Dr. Cohen completed his internship and residency training in surgery and urology at the Case Western Reserve – University Hospital of Cleveland followed by a fellowship in urological oncology at the University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Institute in Houston, TX.
Dr. Cohen is currently researching new technologies for urological disorders and has been instrumental in pioneering cryosurgery for the treatment of prostate and renal disorders. Dr. Cohen is a member of the American Urological Association (AUA) and has served on the AUA New Technology and Treatment Advisory Committees. Dr. Cohen is the recipient of many awards, including being included in The Best Doctors in Pittsburgh list in Pittsburgh Magazine and the 1996-1997 editions of Best Doctors in America. Dr. Cohen has authored numerous articles and lectures and serves as a reviewer for the Journal of Urology and Urology.

George Bernard, Jr.
Director and Business Advisor
George Bernard Jr. has over 30 years of experience in the financial services industry. Currently, he is the President and Chief Executive Officer of Bennington Asset Management, Inc., a Registered Investment Advisor. Previously, Mr. Bernard was Executive Vice President & Director of Eastern Point Advisors where he oversaw the firms’ development strategy and business operations, including investment management and marketing. Prior to this, Mr. Bernard was Vice President and National Institutional Sales Manager for fee-based advisory services at Allmerica Financial, a Fortune 500 diversified group of insurance and financial services companies.
Mr. Bernard has held several other senior-level positions at PNC Bank Corp, Moors & Cabot, Inc, Gruntal & Co, Inc., Tucker Anthony & R.L. Day, Inc., and Moseley, Hallgarten, Eastbrook & Weeden. He received his Bachelor of Arts in Economics from Georgetown University.
Donald P. Hearn
Donald P. Hearn brings extensive institutional marketing and business development experience in the financial services to HealthView Services. Most recently Mr. Hearn was the Senior Managing Director for New Business Development for FundQuest providing fee-based programs for financial institutions. During this time, Mr. Hearn personally negotiated multimillion-dollar relationships with major institutions such as JPMorgan Chase, HSBC and USAA.
Prior to this, Mr. Hearn served as President of Digital Lighthouse’s Financial Services Division and as Executive Vice President and Operating Committee Member at U.S. Trust Company in New York. During his five years at U.S. Trust he led the firm’s mutual fund asset management and services businesses through a period of rapid growth. After the division was sold to Chase Manhattan in 1995, Mr. Hearn remained with the unit for four more years as Chairman and CEO. Mr. Hearn has also held senior sales, marketing and strategic planning positions at The Boston Company, Dalbar and the Bradford Trust Company.
Al Minahan is a Senior Policy Advisor at Preti Strategies. With 30 years of experience as an advocate, policymaker and strategist, Al uses his long record of success across New England to serve his clients’ best interests.
Since his election to the Massachusetts House of Representatives in 1977, Al has been a persuasive force among the region’s leaders in business and in politics. After seven years’ service as a legislator, Al began his public policy and communications business, where he has since represented and advanced the interests of his clients at the difficult nexus of commerce and government. Mr. Minahan works with his clients to plan long-term public affairs strategies, stake out policy positions and craft effective messaging at crucial junctures. His contacts across industries and agencies are an invaluable resource in achieving lasting results and growing his clients’ businesses.
Mr. Minahan is a graduate of Holy Cross College and served for a year in the Jesuit Volunteer Corps. He currently serves on the board of directors for the Massachusetts Association for Mental Health (MAMH).

Geoffrey Chalmers is an experienced corporate and securities attorney in Boston, Massachusetts. Mr. Chalmers provides legal services (mostly pertaining to the financial industry) to a number of clients across the country. Mr. Chalmers has served as Vice President and General Counsel of Commonwealth Financial Network, Inc., where he built and operated the compliance department. He also was Vice President and General Counsel of Liberty Real Estate Management, Inc., a property management firm, in years prior. Mr. Chalmers has also provided legal services in a number of capacities including in-house as General Counsel of Continental Investment Corporation, a financial services holding company, as Attorney-Examiner at the Securities and Exchange Commission.
